The H2020 LUVMI-X project is a small rover that enables lunar exploration for a much lower price than larger existing rovers. It's highly configurable and many different types of payloads, can be installed to cater for multiple mission types. It is particularly well suited for in-situ analysis of different lunar aspects of interest for future manned missions. These could be studying how environmental radiation affects human health, or understanding how to extract oxygen and water from local regolith to enable future semi-permanent settlements.
